Mother of three Autistic sons, Maria Borde, shares that she doesn’t treat her sons any differently than typical children. They all have responsibilities at home within their respective capabilities and that gentle “pushing” has been an amazing tool for them. She also shares her children’s areas of interest and how working with therapists has helped.
Principal Rynelle Boyce of Kreative Kids Inc., an Inclusive Education Centre, delves into the importance of understanding your students individual needs in the classroom in addition to designing routines in the classroom via the use of assistive technology, in association with and under advisement from a Speech Language Pathologist.
